The Summerville Breakfast Rotary Club is thrilled to announce the return of one of our most impactful community service events: The Happy Feet Project.
On Saturday, March 21st, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, our club members and volunteers will gather at the Rack Room Shoes in Summerville (Azalea Square) to help local students start their spring season with a brand-new pair of shoes.
What is the Happy Feet Project?
Happy Feet is a recognized national Rotary program designed to meet a basic but essential need for children in our communities. The concept is simple but powerful: providing new, well-fitting athletic shoes to school-aged children who might otherwise go without.
For many of us, a new pair of shoes is a routine purchase. However, for a child in need, a new pair of shoes is more than just footwear—it is a tool for health, a boost for self-esteem, and a way to participate fully in school and physical activities without discomfort or embarrassment.
How It Benefits Summerville
By partnering with local educators and retailers, the Summerville Breakfast Rotary Club aims to remove one of the many barriers to success that students face. We believe that when a child feels confident and cared for by their community, they are better equipped to focus on their studies and their future. This project allows us to engage directly with our neighbors and see the immediate, smiling impact of Service Above Self.
Important Information for Families
To ensure we serve those with the greatest need, please note that participation is by invitation only. This event is reserved specifically for students who have received an official Happy Feet Voucher directly from their school.
When: March 21st | 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM
Where: Rack Room Shoes, Summerville, SC
Requirement: You must present your school-issued voucher to participate.
Support Our Mission
The Happy Feet Project is made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Summerville Breakfast Rotary Club and the generosity of our local partners. If you would like to learn more about how you can support this project or join our club in our mission to serve the Summerville area, please explore our website or join us for one of our weekly breakfast meetings.
We look forward to seeing those happy faces (and feet!) on March 21st!
